INTEGRATION

Planning a connected entrance

Define system responsibilities, information flow and recovery before selecting the final entrance configuration.

← All insights
Start with a clear account of who decides, who acts and who maintains the connection.

Map the existing setup

List the entrance and exit lanes, parking platform, access-control equipment and barrier controllers already in use. Add the people responsible for each part. A simple site drawing and current equipment list give the first integration discussion a concrete starting point.

Define the information flow

Agree which system supplies access permissions, which receives the recognition result and which sends the barrier command. Confirm the available interfaces with the equipment documentation and platform provider. A requested connection is not the same as verified compatibility.

Describe updates and exceptions

Decide how a new permission, cancellation or expired booking reaches the entrance. Include the expected response when a message is delayed or a vehicle does not match a valid permission. Keep these decisions understandable to the operator as well as the technical team.

Specify interruption and recovery

Document what the entrance should do when the connection is unavailable. Confirm which decisions, if any, can still be made in the selected configuration. Agree how updates are reconciled after recovery and how staff are informed of a problem.

Write an acceptance plan

Test the full journey from identification to barrier response. Include permission changes, failed recognition and connection recovery. Record the expected result, the observed result and the person responsible for resolving any difference before handover.
