Begin with the entrance layout
Review the space available for equipment, the stopping position and the sightline from the vehicle. Decide whether recognition and driver information should share one position or be handled by separate devices.
When to consider a dedicated camera
A dedicated ANPR camera is a starting point where recognition is needed without a terminal display. Check how it will connect to the existing access system and how drivers receive any instructions or assistance elsewhere in the entrance.
When to consider a terminal
An integrated terminal brings recognition and a display together at the entrance. Bluecard’s range includes 10-inch and 18.5-inch formats. Compare the intended message length, viewing position and available space before choosing a format. Confirm the exact model and configuration using current product documentation.
Confirm the installation requirements
Request the applicable requirements for power, network, mounting and the installation environment. Confirm recognition distance, lighting requirements and available interfaces for the specific configuration. Do not infer those values from a product photograph.
Evaluate the complete setup
The equipment is one part of the entrance. Include access decisions, barrier control, exception handling and operator responsibilities in the selection discussion. A useful proposal explains how the chosen configuration fits the site and how that fit will be tested.
